This morning shortly after 9am we were dispatched to a condo complex in Tappan for a report of a contractor that struck a gas line

While 21-2 (Assistant Chief) was enroute, he was notified that there was gas flowing into the building and with that information requested a ladder from Orangeburg FD. The first engine crew on scene went through and evacuated the building of all residents as O&R was in the process of shutting down the gas line on the outside. The scene was turned over to O&R for further repairs.
